Oh wAU ok these were a pain in the butt. Granted, they're definitely the easiest prop I've ever made; but aAAaああAaA
I painted over a headband with white acrylic to give it a plastic look, which surprisingly worked way better than I thought it would(has yet to crack whoO)
The headset itself flashes yellow and blue; but to get it to do that, we had to buy $1 Spiderman toys at Walmart, dissect them, and solder the yellow lights on where a green and red one were. The framework is all craft foam layered in modge podge and paint to give it a hard shell. Because I didn't want people to see the inside of the headset, I cut up a muffin container for the thin plastic it's made out of, used it for the slots, and layered it with colored tissue paper. This helped to give the lights behind more credit, too.
